Water is life💦 Water for drinking, water for c Water is life💦

Water for drinking, water for cooking, water for bathing, water for everything...

These lovely Malawian ladies are showing us how they get their heart rate up stirring the SIMA. Sima is an every meal staple in #Malawi ...locals grow the corn, dry it, grind it, boil it in a pot with...you guessed it...💦💦💦
Mr. Precious from House of Peace Orphan Unit descr Mr. Precious from House of Peace Orphan Unit describes what the water situation was like before they received their well from the #NathansPassionProject donors.

They where drinking from the same stream thousands of people were washing in...

Now fresh clean water, not only for the unit, but for all the surrounding villages.

WATER WATER WATER💦💦💦
Welcome to the House of Peace orphan unit in Dowa, Welcome to the House of Peace orphan unit in Dowa, Malawi.

Traditional orphanages can be expensive and often remove children from extended family. House of Peace Unit is a safe place where the children in the program can come for many different types of care.

These sweet babies, come for education, food, supplies, malaria tests and medication, and so much more. Now the unit has its own well, that supports many villages with CLEAN water. Before this well, hundreds of people would stand in line at this tiny trickling stream waiting their turn to fill their bucket with contaminated water.

Now THEY HAVE WATER 💦
Its amazing how in death there can be such a gift Its amazing how in death there can be such a gift of life.

Now the ladies of Sonrise Matron Unit have water for drinking, cooking, bathing, growing crops..because you chose to give, and keep giving. Not only in honor of Nathan, but you have chosen to give, and keep giving in honor of the loved ones that you have lost.

You have chosen life in the midst of death, and there is nothing more inspiring.

“Thousands have lived without love, not one without water.” — W. H. Auden

This is Seth, the @TeenMissionMalawi coordinator, This is Seth, the @TeenMissionMalawi coordinator, he is the "on the ground" orcastrator of our well project in Malawi.

Today he is showing you where they where previously trying to drill water at the Sunrise Matron Unit. There are 42 girls who live at this unit, #Teenmissions with its staff and volunteers (US & Local) built this unit for girls so they will not have to walk hours from their homes daily to school. This unit keeps them safe from assault, and ensures they will be able to attend school.

Prior to drilling the well, even though they are closer to school, still had to walk about 50 minutes each way for water walking back, carrying heavy water buckets on theirs heads. If you spill it, you walked back...
If you didn't get enough, you walked back...
If you couldn't carry enough, you walked back...
That bucket was for cooking, cleaning, drinking, washing clothes...everything for your day. 50 minutes each way.

YOU ARE AND CAN CONTINUTALLY CHANGE PEOPLES LIVES.

Continuing to partner with us will help us bring more water to people who so desperately need it. Support is financial, but also by sharing this post you will be helping us spread the word.

Thank you so much for your continued support.

"In the heat of the midday sun, 5-year-old Innocen "In the heat of the midday sun, 5-year-old Innocent wobbled along the road under the weight of his full jerry can. He and his group of young friends had set out to collect water at 7am that morning. Five hours later, the little water gang was returning back to their tents with the precious water their families will use for all their cooking, bathing, washing and cleaning that day.

Francise, six, said she doesn’t mind walking the four kilometre journey, nor carrying the heavy jerry can home: “If I collect water, it means my mother will be able to cook me food, so I don’t mind, but I wish the water tap was here,” pointing to the ground near her tent."

Yall, this picture takes my passion for clean water to another level. Look as those babies, they walk with their mamas for hours to get unclean water and have to help carry back heavy jugs for miles. 💔

Every single dollar donated goes to clean water. Every single dollar.

A little perspective and an SOS. Hi, As many of A little perspective and an SOS.

Hi,
As many of you know my name is Melody, Nathan is my brother who now resides in heaven. I wanted to take a minute and share something. My dad sent me this picture the other day and it really pulled at my heart strings, he has spent his life traveling the world, helping others, and also helping other travel the world❤🌎. So he loves to give me parables of perspective all the time (love you dad). We are living in some hard times, and I have to continually pull myself out of my own self loathing with some perspective.

Before Nathan went to heaven, whenever I would be feeling the weight of the world on my shoulders, I would remember the #floatingvillages in #Cambodia. These incredible people build stilted houses on the water where they used that same body💦 to cook, clean, bath, drink... and yet they always had a smile on their faces. Usually imagining myself back there brings my fustration down and gives me some perspective as to how much I have to be thankful for.

Now, post Nate heavenly assent, I still think about Cambodia, but also the little feet that have to walk miles and miles to get any water daily. The people living on the water, had access to water daily, wasn't the best situation for clean water, but they had access. Thinking, truly trying to comprehend, having to walk for miles to get access to unclean water, adds an extra layer to perspective.

Can you imagine walking for miles in these shoes to fill a 5 gallon container of unclean water, then walking miles back home carrying it? Just to having something to drink to stay alive...

I can ONLY imagine, because I have never had to live that life. But our ❤ here at NPP is to keep going until every little foot only has to walk within their village to get access to #cleanwater 💦.

CAN YOU HELP US?
Help us SHORTEN THE DISTANCE that millions of chil Help us SHORTEN THE DISTANCE that millions of children and their parents walk daily for water. Our goal is to bring fresh water to communities that don't have access and have to walk for miles daily to get dirty water.

"Why do we need clean water? Water is a fundamen "Why do we need clean water?

Water is a fundamental human need. Each person on Earth requires at least 20 to 50 liters of clean, safe water a day for drinking, cooking, and simply keeping themselves clean. Polluted water isn't just dirty—it's deadly. Some 1.8 million people die every year of diarrheal diseases like cholera."
